Nonstop Roadside Tire Company started in a two-bay garage in Wethersfield, CT in 2018 with one used service truck, a stack of Roadmasters, and a shared cell phone that co-founders Frank Delgado and Ray Kowalski took turns answering through the night.
Frank spent 14 years running long-haul out of the Northeast — Freightliner Cascadias, mostly, hauling produce and reefer freight up and down I-91. Ray grew up in his father's Wethersfield truck shop, turning wrenches on 22.5" drives before he could drive a car. When they met at a Pilot truck stop in Enfield in 2016, they were both frustrated by the same thing: drivers stranded for six, eight, sometimes twelve hours waiting for a roadside call that never came, then getting handed a $2,400 invoice for a $450 tire.
They started Nonstop with one rule: if the phone rings, someone rolls. Six years, six service trucks, and 18 mechanics later, that rule hasn't changed. Every mechanic on staff has held a CDL at some point in their career — because you can't fix a truck driver's problem if you've never been one.
Today Nonstop Roadside Tire Company covers Hartford, CT and every highway, interstate, and truck stop within 50 miles — I-84, I-91, I-291, I-384, I-691, Routes 2, 3, 5, 8, 9, 15, 44, and 72 — plus the Springfield MA corridor. Family owned. Driver run. Answering the phone in 30 seconds or less, 24/7/365.
